Students rank much higher than the state average in English and math proficiency. The high school has a 99% graduation rate, far above the state average of 81%. Of that group, 67% are eligible to attend a university in the CSU or CU system, compared to the 42% state average. The school is also the host campus for the audition-only magnet art’s program, the Academy for the Performing Arts school (APA). Available programs to study at APA consist of acting, costume design, dance, dramatic production, MMET Media, MMET Popular Music, musical theatre, orchestra and technical theatre. A wide array of sports of are offered at Huntington Beach High School, including water polo, volleyball, tennis, golf, football, cross country, field hockey, basketball, soccer, wrestling, baseball, lacrosse, swimming, softball, track and surfing—in fact, Huntington Beach was the first school to ever have a Varsity surf team.

As it is a multi-residence property, there are no yards and the square footage will be smaller than the average house in Huntington Beach. And while the location is excellent, that would of course mean a high volume of out-of-towners and foot-traffic heading to Huntington State Beach, Main Street and Pacific City.
